well i survived my first week of working...actually i went from not working for a month to working 12 days straight. at moments it was overwhelming but at the end of the week i definitely felt a sense of accomplishment. it is definitely a different culture than i am use to but all for the better. i am so thankful to have good resources all around me, for example i had to ask NH where to put my lunch because i already already forgotten.
here are some highlights:
*on my first day i ran into two people i knew all in the first 10 minutes, pretty impressive considering i work in a building of thousands.
*i love all the people i sit next to, super friendly and nice.
*two lunch dates, one with friends the other with j-rod.
*had to give a presentation to all the managers and directors of our department, nothing like throwing you right in.
*made it the whole week without going to starbucks once.
very grateful to have a great job with a great company!
nothing has that same excitement/anxiety of a new job. glad it started off well. you are definitely among friends down there.
