i had an awesome weekend, i loved every moment of it. i was sad to see it come and go. here is a quick recap of all the fun.
friday night: great evening out with my friends! we finally got the chance to eat at baru 66 and take advantage of the first night of restaurant week. if i could use just one word to describe my visit, it would be disappointing. the food was fine, the service was okay, the portions were small and the bill was expensive. i am not in any hurry to visit again. afterwards we went and grabbed a drink at front row and i ended up using the men's room by mistake. i didn't realize it until i heard some guys speaking outside the door saying "dude, i just saw a girl go in there." oops, now i know.
saturday: went with LB to blond genius to take advantage of our groupon. of course i walked away with a new pair of jeans, i went with some AG's. j-rod and i had a great lunch at luna, they had this delish brushetta side. i can't wait to go back! it was a beautiful day so i decided to check something off my "spring fever" list and went paddle boating at gray's lake. paddle boating was definitely more glamorous as a kid, probably because my dad did all the work. on a side note, i think all the boats are dysfunctional at gray's.
sunday: we wrapped up the weekend by visiting the state fair and spending some time with my family. i loved seeing them and had so much fun watching my 4-year-old cousin show sheep. he came up a big winner, earning 1st and 2nd place.
agree, it was a fun weekend! don't forget to mention the lawn was mowed and one window was cleaned!
ReplyDeleteLove those jeans - good pick!
ReplyDeletepaddleboat are the worst thing ever. i can't believe i didn't tell you about my family's terrible outing with them.
ReplyDeleteMUCH MUCH better are the kayaks. i highly recommend them.
