chili cook-off

this past weekend we hosted the first annual chili cook-off and i have to say it was a success.  we had four different varieties, all very different but all very good.

the judging was done by DH, who did a marvelous job.  he used a variety of criteria ranging from taste to aroma.

LW came up the big winner with a corn bread base, traditional tomato chili with a variety of beans topped with sharp cheddar cheese.  

in addition to all the great chili we also had a corn cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, veggies and some perfectly brewed hot apple cider.
